Priorities

1

End public corruption in Ohio.

Ohio deserves better leaders. From the First Energy HB6 scandal to giving $600M to a billionaire in the most recent state budget, Ohio has been mismanaged by politicians in our state government for too long. We deserve someone who will fight for us, not for energy companies or billionaire's special interests.

2

Combat the cost of living crisis.

Ohioans face some of the highest property tax rates in the country. As our home values rise, our seniors are priced out of their homes by property taxes while our young people are priced out of the market. Electricity and water prices are rising at historic rates across our state. The cost of basic necessities, food, housing, utilities have all risen past wage growth while the legislature has done nothing to help out every day Ohioans. In the statehouse, I will work across the aisle to bring meaningful relief to Ohio's rising cost of living.

3

Ensure access to strong public schools for all Ohioans.

Ohio owes its youth a quality public education system that provides opportunity to every child and prepares our next generation to tackle the problems of our time. The current state legislature has chosen to fund school vouchers for religious, private, and charter schools instead of funding our public schools. Access to a quality public education should be a basic right of every Ohioan. I will work tirelessly to promote and defend quality, well funded, public schools in Ohio through returning to the Fair School Funding Plan.

4

Defend our right to reproductive healthcare.

This one is personal. I was conceived through In-Vitro Fertilization. Without IVF and access to reproductive health services like it, I would not have been born. I’m unwavering in my support for reproductive choice and freedom in Ohio. My campaign, candidacy, and office will always work to defend and promote every Ohioan’s right to reproductive choice, freedom and healthcare.

Why I'm Running

I'm running to flip our District 37 Ohio House of Representative seat because all Ohioans deserve leaders who will actually represent them. Leaders who will be transparent in their work and who will be accountable to their constituents, not special interest groups or billionaires. Ohio deserves leaders who aren't afraid to call out and combat public corruption, who aren't afraid to go to the statehouse and fight for them.

For too long we in Ohio have been abandoned by our legislators and government officials. While we work hard to provide for our families and build our communities, our elected officials have ignored us. In 2023 Ohioans overwhelmingly voted to enshrine the right to reproductive healthcare in Ohio's constitution and to legalize marijuana in Ohio. Since then bad faith legislators have done everything in their power to fight the will of the people. From attempting to pass unconstitutional anti-abortion laws to repealing common-sense aspects of the marijuana legalization laws in 2025, these legislators have intentionally undercut our will as Ohio voters.

Ohioans have long made it clear that we want meaningful property tax reform, meaningful solutions to the cost of living crisis, and access to quality public schools for all. Yet, our state legislature has done nothing but make these issues worse. Our legislature has repeatedly caused local taxes to rise by reducing state funding for schools, libraries, and other local services, all while asking us for more. In the last state budget our legislators harmed our public schools by taking more than $2.4 billion dollars from public education in Ohio's General Revenue Fund, choosing instead to fund private, religious, and charter school vouchers with our public tax dollars. From worsening our local property and income tax problems, to diverting $2.4B+ in tax dollars away from our public schools, our state legislature has made it clear who they represent, and IT'S. NOT. US.

When I'm elected to the Ohio Statehouse, I pledge to represent YOU

About Tom

I'm a lifelong Ohioan, who's proudly called the Dayton area home for over 25 years. I was raised by our community, attended our public schools, and received an education at our public university. GO RAIDERS!

I understand how vital it is for the success of our community to have elected officials who will listen to their concerns and have their back at the statehouse. When I'm elected I will work with you and our community to solve the real problems we face as Ohioans.

I've seen first hand the impact of the cost of living crisis on our property values, on the price of our grocery trips, and in our utility bills. When I'm elected I will work with legislators to deliver meaningful relief to Ohio's cost of living crisis, and work to keep seniors from being taxed out of their homes. I will fight to make it easier to put healthy food on the table and combat rising utility prices.

I know how important it is for the success of our youth that we maintain a well funded, high-quality public education system. When I'm elected I will work diligently to ensure our tax dollars are spent on public schools that are available to all Ohio residents, not on sending Ohio's wealthiest kids to private schools.

I know how important reproductive choice, freedom, and access to reproductive healthcare is for women and men planning families in Ohio and across the world for that matter. I was conceived through In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). Without access to reproductive healthcare and the right to reproductive choice, I would not have been born. When I'm elected I will fight relentlessly to protect and defend our right to reproductive choice, reproductive freedom, and access to reproductive healthcare.

I'm asking for your vote in the Ohio House Democratic Primary on May 5th 2026 so together we can represent District 37!
